WALLENSKI'S FINAL ACT: HARE TODAY, GONE TOMORROW

It begun with the freight they connected to which was staged in the Southern Pacific railyard waiting the OK to depart. In the meantime..........
THE GHOST BOX CAR:
This legendary, unmarked, rarely seen, and completely sealed railcar, rumored to carry Merlin the Wizard, has arrived in Sacramento and is waiting on a Western Pacific spur for their departure OK. Meanwhile..........
JEFF NAMBA:
A local Garden Railroad Society's board member, official photographer, and avid cyclist, (he likes being called avid) has just departed home for his nightly ride...........
MERLIN, MASTER WIZARD:
First appearing in the 12th Century King Arthur stories, Merlin is the apparent creator and keeper of the power of true magic, and overseer of the Magician's Creed, is rumored to be in town on business..........
THE MAGIC BOX:
Its' been said that this legendary, never seen box contains the power of magic, and rarely given by Merlin only to dedicated magicians to use only for entertainment, never to harm animals in an act and never to profit from the it's use..........
RABBITS:
Don't forget the rabbits, it was discovered that the rabbits in SISTER'S 'Pop-Ups' toys were real stuffed rabbits..........
3:01AM:
Everything is in motion. The SP train with the WALLENSKI railcars begins rolling east on SP's main line. The WP train, with the ghost railcar, is moving west on their track. Jeff Namba, on his nightly ride, has come to rest at the10th street RR crossing of these parallel tracks as the red lights start flashing and the safety arm drops. He readies his camera for possible photos. Rabbits begin to gather..........
CRITICAL MASS:
As the two trains slowly pass each other at the crossing,......camera clicking......rabbits smiling...... A BRIGHT FLASH OF LIGHT...... fills Sacramento's night sky consuming The WALLENSKI'S and their railcars. The SP train, now four railcars shorter, continues east. The WP train with the ghost car rolls west into the night.
FOUR WEEKS LATER:
Jeff's wife, Suzy, (it’s best just to call her Suzy) is the editor of the RR club's newsletter, was finishing up proofing Jeff's next article, titled '3:01AM' for posting, noticed something unusual in his series of photos of the unassuming box car as it was slowly passing by. A single frame, taken at the exact moment of the flash of light caused it to be overexposed, was hiding a faint image that went unnoticed by Jeff, and almost by Suzy. Closer inspection revealed it to possibly be that of the legendary Merlin, the first Wizard. Their first reaction was to publish the photo proving his existence, gaining
fame and big bucks. But after reading this story, (how did they do that while I'm still writing it?), it was obvious Merlin would prefer to remain a legend........they quickly agreed to do the right thing..........DELETE KEY-PRESSED
