This is a carnival themed garden railroad featuring 1/24 scale G gauge model trains running on a simple raised deck roadway. THE GREEN refers to the artificial turf sporting green, along with the raised deck roadway, viewing benches, and a 'snack shack' that enhance the experience for visitors, including members of the Sacramento Valley Garden Railway Society who appreciate miniatures.
Concept
In a carnival themed garden railroad, the train serves as the layout. Everything that contributes to the layout, including G gauge model trains and miniatures, is constructed as, or on, a rail car, rather than on the ground. This approach is often showcased by the SACRAMENTO VALLEY GARDEN RAILWAY SOCIETY.
Theme
Having seen better days, with aging rides and stale attractions, CARNIVALE has taken to the dark side of the carnival world to survive, hoping to attract a more 'diverse' crowd. Rides are now more extreme, shows increasingly illicit, and 'Believe it or Not' attractions have become bizarrely strange. Amidst this transformation, the charm of a carnival themed garden railroad featuring G gauge model trains and intricately designed miniatures is becoming a rare find, as games become more enticing yet increasingly rigged. The SACRAMENTO VALLEY GARDEN RAILWAY SOCIETY continues to celebrate the magic of model trains, contrasting sharply with the carnival's dark evolution.

Back Story
Now the really fun part of the carnival themed garden railroad. Every rail car has to have a story. It might be just descriptive or historical, but more likely than not it will be strange and somewhat dark, and I will always refer to it as........True. This is especially true for those who appreciate G gauge model trains and miniatures, as each piece tells its own unique tale. This passion for storytelling is shared among members of the SACRAMENTO VALLEY GARDEN RAILWAY SOCIETY, where model trains come alive with imaginative narratives.
